Russian authorities identify the mastermind of St. Petersburg Metro bombing attack

The Russian investigation into a bombing attack in a St. Petersburg Metro train has managed to identify the person who ordered the attack, the head of the Federal Security Service (FSB) said.

Aleksandr Bortnikov confirmed on Thursday the identification of the mastermind of the attack, which killed 15 people on April 3. He didn’t offer any additional details about that person or his links to individuals currently under the investigation.

The Russian law enforcement has so far took in custody 10 people suspected of involvement in the terrorist attack.

Abror Azimov was identified as the alleged organizer of the suicide bombing after his arrest on Monday.
