Discovered Islamic State documents with plans for terrorist attacks all over Europe

A British commander has said thousands of plots for attacks on Europe by Islamic State have been discovered by coalition forces fighting the militants in Syria and Iraq.
Major General Rupert Jones revealed more than 10,000 documents and a large amount of digital data were found after Isis were ousted from Manbij in Syria in August.

Speaking to reporters at an air base in Iraq, he said the former Isis bases in Manbij “were key external operations hubs. There is a huge amount of intelligence, documentation, electronic material that points very directly against all sorts of nations around the world.

“I am not going to go into the details but we know that external operations have been getting orchestrated to a very significant degree from within the caliphate, critically from within Raqqa and from within Manbij.”

British security agencies are now looking over the data, with the General hoping information will be found to aid the coalition in the re-capture of Mosul.

“I am absolutely certain that an extraordinary amount of intelligence will come out of it. It will be a labyrinth of intelligence and we need to get that into the hands of the intelligence agencies.”
