Lebanese security forces arrest ISIS terrorist group members

The members, who formed a sleeper cell, were active in the area located between Tripoli and al-Daniyah in North Lebanon, and were found to have regular contacts with several senior ISIL commanders in Syria and Iraq, Al Masdar reported.

The Lebanese forces raided their hideout and seized large quantities of weapons, ammunition and equipment, including thirteen 60mm caliber missiles, 13 detonators, rifles, pistols, electronic equipment and detailed maps of North Lebanon and al-Beqaa area.

Meanwhile, the 2nd phase of the exchange deal concluded by both Hezbollah and the al-Qaeda-affiliate Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, also known as al-Nusra Front, is being carried out as the Lebanese faction managed to take over most of the territories controlled by the miltant group in Arsal town along the borders with Syria.
