The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) continues to clear areas and mines left behind by terrorists in Syria’s northwestern Afrin region under the scope of Operation Olive Branch, as well as its operations against ISIS terror cells in the Euphrates shield region. In last three months, at least 150 ISIS terrorists were arrested in al-Bab, Jarabulus and Azaz.
In the ongoing operation in the Euphrates shield region, the number of ISIS terrorists who stood trial reached 900 and those who were prosecuted and sent to jail reached over 800, according to Jarabulus prosecutor Abu Firas.
France, who vowed to support the SDF, which is composed of terrorists from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) ranks first in the list of countries who send foreign fighters to Daesh. Firas stated that the number of Daesh terrorists prosecuted in Syria’s Hawar, Mare, al-Rai, Jarabulus and Azaz reached 900.
“We are holding foreign terrorists in the Havar and Çobanbey regions. French nationals rank first among foreign terrorists,” he said.
On Thursday, the French President hosted a delegation of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an organization led by the PYD/PKK terrorist group, at the Elysee Palace. During the meeting, Macron promised the terror group support.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States.
