ISIS terrorists infiltrate three neighborhoods in Mosul and kill two Iraqi policemen

The Islamic State (IS) militants managed on Thursday to infiltrate three neighborhoods in southeastern Mosul after killing a number of police forces.

A security source from the Nineveh Police said on Thursday that security measures were tightened and a curfew was imposed in three neighborhoods of the city of Mosul, after two policemen were killed and the militants infiltrated into the three neighborhoods of Mosul.

Captain Amer Shaker from Nineveh Police, told BasNews that “the security forces besieged the eastern neighborhoods of West Yarmja, East Yarmja and Sumer after two local police were killed on Thursday morning and a number of elements were infiltrated into the neighborhoods.”

The intelligence information received by Nineveh Police confirmed the infiltration of the IS insurgents into those neighborhoods.

A large number of security forces have been sent as reinforcement to the three neighborhoods and besieged them in preparation to storm the areas.

“The security forces imposed a temporary curfew on the three neighborhoods, while the bodies of the policemen were transferred to forensic medicine in Mosul,” said Captain Shaker.
