Six ISIS terrorists killed in clashes with the Taliban group in Nangarhar

The fighting erupted between the two groups in Khogyani district in Nangarhar at least one week ago and it is still ongoing, local official said.

At least six Daesh fighters were killed in an ongoing clash with the Taliban militants in Nangarhar province, in east of Afghanistan, on Wednesday, local officials confirmed on Thursday.

Eight Taliban fighters and four ISIS militants were wounded in the conflict, Nangarhar governor’s spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told TOLOnews.

The clash is ongoing in Khogyani district in the province over the past week, Khogyani said.

The spokesman did not provide further details.

Taliban has not commented on the report so far.

This is not the first fighting between the two insurgent groups. In May, 21 Taliban and seven ISIS fighters were killed in a clash between the two groups in Nangarhar.
