Around 300 Afghan children are under ISIS military training in Northern Afghanistan

The local officials in the northern Jawzjan province have confirmed that 300 Afghan children are under the military training of Islamic State or locally knows as Daesh terror group in the country.

It’s reported that over 80 percent of Darzab district in Jawzjan province is under the control of Daesh and the terror group is increasingly recruiting across the province.

The provincial council members of Jawzjan confirmed the news and said that most of families are forced due to poverty to hand over their children to the Islamic State terror group.

According to a former district governor of Darzab, the Islamic State of Khurasan province (IS –K) is extensively indoctrinating and brain washing Afghan children which he expressed as highly concerning.

Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission office in the Northern Province also confirmed receiving reports of Daesh recruiting children and urged the government to act urgently.

Islamic State of Khurasan Province (IS –K) emerged primarily in the eastern part of the country in 2014 as a branch of Islamic State of Syria and Iraq (ISIS). Since establishing its foothold, Islamic State has been regularly targeted by Afghan and U.S. airstrikes in the eastern Nangarhar province.

President Ghani claimed after his return from Azerbaijan that Islamic State is now fleeing Afghanistan. However the provincial council chief of Nangarhar province said a few days ago that the terror group has captured a significant part of Khogyani district in the province.
