ISIS’s warlord is killed in clashes with Syrian Army in Deir Ezzur

The ISIS terrorist group’s warlord Abu Osama Tunisi was killed along with a number of militants in clashes with the Syrian Army soldiers in Southeastern Deir Ezzur on Tuesday.

The army men engaged in a tough battle with ISIS in Khusham and Hatlah Fowqani regions, killing a number of terrorists, including Abu Osama Tunisi, a war emir (commander) of the terrorist group.

In the meantime, the Syrian Air Force pounded ISIS’s positions in the villages and towns of al-Janineh, al-Hosseiniyeh, Hatlah, Mouhassan, Sa’alou, al-Tayebeh, Bu Leil and al-Salehiyeh.

The army aircraft also bombed heavily ISIS’s movements in the neighborhoods of Kanamat, al-Hamidiyeh, al-Arzi, Khasarat and Sheikh Yaseen, killing and wounding a large number of terrorists and destroying their positions and military hardware in large scale.

Earlier reports said that the Syrian Air Force carried out a number of combat sorties over ISIL positions and movements in Southeastern and Eastern Deir Ezzur, killing and wounding a large number of them and destroying their military hardware.

The army aircraft pounded ISIS’s strongholds and movements in the town of Mouhassan and al-Mayadeen in Southeastern Deir Ezzur and in the villages of Baqras Tahtani and Tayebeh Shamiyeh in the Eastern part of the province.

Also, the warplanes bombed heavily ISIS’s movements in the village of Feiziyeh Bin Moyna’a 85km Southwest of Deir Ezzur city.

A military source confirmed that ISIS suffered heavy casualties and their positions and military vehicles sustained major damage in the air raids.
