Twisted WhatsApp message shows ISIS fanatics using Finsbury Park terror attack to urge further atrocities against the West

ISIS fanatics have seized upon the Finsbury Park terror attack in a sick call to arms to urge further atrocities against the West.

A WhatsApp message allegedly sent by a pro-ISIS supporter emerged on Twitter which called on advocates to “wake up” to “war starting in your own streets”.

The twisted text was revealed by US-based terrorism analyst Michael Smith in the wake of the terror attack at Finsbury Park mosque in which a white man mowed down Muslim worshippers.

The rant, supposedly posted in a WhatsApp group containing 225 members called ‘WAR NEWS/UMMAH NEWS’, appeared to question why the attacker had not been shot dead like the terrorists behind the London Bridge atrocity.

It said: “Oh Muslimeen when your brothers took revenge on the crusader nationals for the slaughter they are carrying out on the Muslims, they were shot on site by the the British Police.

“Oh Muslims you need to wake up the war is starting now in your own streets outside your own Masajids.

“Your elders could be killed, your sisters could be attacked.”

One man died and 10 others were injured when a man allegedly targeted Muslims observing Ramadan as they left the Muslim Welfare House in Seven Sisters Road.

Darren Osborne, 47, has been arrested on suspicion of the attack.

Police said they are treating the incident as a terror attack after arresting the driver, who was detained by witnesses until officers arrived.

Detectives are still investigating the motive as witnesses claimed they heard the driver shout “I’m going to kill Muslims”.

Amid the chaos as injured people lay on the floor, an imam protected the driver of the hired van, telling a crowd: “Do not touch him.”

Police were called just after 12.20am on Monday to reports of a van hitting pedestrians.

The vehicle ploughed into pedestrians after worshippers took part in night prayers after breaking the Ramadan fast.

Worshippers were giving first aid to an elderly man who had collapsed when the van ploughed into people in what witnesses claimed was a deliberate attack.

They said the van mounted a pavement as it hit people.

Witnesses claimed they heard the driver shout “I’m going to kill Muslims” and, after mowing down the victims, “Kill me, I have done my job”.

As dozens of police officers and medics raced to the scene, the driver was wrestled to the ground and detained by witnesses.

Witness Hussain Ali, 28, said: “All I heard was a banging, then I turned and saw all the shouting and running.

“I saw people taking a man from underneath the van, he was black, bleeding, he was not dead, he was alive.

“There was a man in a wheelchair, a man underneath the van, it was hell.”

He added: “It was panic, people were shouting, screaming, some saying it was an accident. It was panic, it was horror.”
